TRAVERSE CITY — Three decades ago Maxine Meach expected only about 20 guests to attend the Grand Traverse area's inaugural summer forum on Parkinson's disease.
"That first year we decided we'd hold the meeting at Elmwood Township's offices," said Meach, Parkinson's Network North's president. "It was a hot summer afternoon and we ended up with over 75 people that were just standing everywhere."
Flash forward to today and it's clear the Parkinson's Network North's summer forum series is more popular than ever.
